This article will cover the functionality of STACK Reports (Classic and New)! We value your feedback! Please click the star icon next to the Reports on the left panel to share your opinions and ideas.
When accessing reports you are automatically defaulted to the newest version of reporting. This is indicated by the "Back to Classic" toggle greyed out and turned off.
The newest version of reporting gives you the ability to Rearrange columns, re-size columns, and sort columns. Click on the report header column and drag it to create your desired ordering. Click in-between the headers to re-size the column. Sort the column ascending or descending by clicking on the column header. You can also press the shift key on the keyboard and click another header for a secondary sort.
All of the Label Group data is now shown as columns in the reports, including our default Label for Plan name.
You can show or hide columns by putting checkmarks in the columns list.
Group the data by by putting checkmarks next to the group(s). The group order can be controlled by the clicking in the order you want the groupings displayed.
Expand the data to see an individual row for each data point. In this example, Drywall Type X exists on Plan A-110 and Plan A-112 totaling 1,862.69 linear feet.
To see the linear feet per plan page, put a checkmark next to Plan Page in the Expand menu.
The report now shows the linear feet of Type X Drywall on each plan page.
Use filters to display only the data you want to see. In this example, we are seeing the work Estimator Sally completed. You can select as many label option filters as you like.
Reset the report to return to the original view
Create a snapshot to create an interactive report that utilizes report data from that moment in time. If you create new takeoffs, or change item pricing, the snapshot data will not be effected.
You can export the data in an Excel format or as a CSV file. The Excel export will generate the data in the same format as you see on your screen. The CSV is a raw unformatted file. This type of report is great for using the data for pivot tables.
If you are using the STACK Project Cost Calculator, you will see a specific export option for the Takeoff Quantity and the Item Cost by Type report. The system will generate a CSV format that is easily importable to the Project Cost Calculator.
