How to print project documents

From the overview tab (thumbnail view)

  1. Select the plan sheets you want to print by adding a checkmark to the upper left corner of each thumbnail
  2. Click “Print Selected” from the bottom of the toolbar on the right (The selected plan sheets will appear in the preview window in the order they have been selected)
  3. Click the download icon in the upper right corner. The pdf will appear in the lower left corner of the page. The pdf will also save to to your downloads file and be printable at that point.
  4. You can adjust your Printer Settings to accommodate paper size, quality and scale as needed. ** Printer Settings are specific to the user and your specific printer.

*They will contain any takeoffs, markups, or plan legends that have been added

From the plan sheet view

  1. Select "Print" from the bottom of the right toolbar. You will be presented with 3 print options:
    - Option 1: “Export # Plans with Takeoff” will download all sheets with takeoffs on them (The selected plan sheets will appear in the preview window in the order they have been selected)
    - Option 2: Select individual sheets to download, by expanding the folder view and clicking the green + (The selected plan sheets will appear in the preview window in the order they have been selected)
    - Option 3: “Print Current View” will download only the portion of the plan that is visible on your screen (This is the only way to export overlay).
  2. Select your preferred option to begin the download to your local storage by clicking on the download icon in the top right corner. The pdf will also save to to your downloads file and be printable at that point.
  3. You can adjust your Printer Settings to accommodate paper size, quality and scale as needed. ** Printer Settings are specific to the user and your specific printer.

How to print or export a report or snapshot

  1. With the desired report or snapshot in view, select either the print or export drop-downs
  2. The print drop-down provides quick options for a landscape versus portrait print orientation
  3. The excel drop-down lets you decide between an excel, CSV, or project cost calculator export
  4. You can adjust your Printer Settings to accommodate paper size, quality and scale as needed. ** Printer Settings are specific to the user and your specific printer.

How to print or download a proposal

  1. Once you’ve completed filling in your proposal details, click the “Download Proposal” button at the bottom of the panel on the left
  2. A small window will pop up with a few different proposal options for you to select
  3. Make your selections and click “Download Proposal” to be directed to a preview screen
  4. From the preview screen, select either print or download from the top right

How to print marked-up plans, to scale, on a large format printer or plotter

  1. Follow the steps above to create a PDF of the plans you want to print
  2. Open the PDF in Acrobat Reader, and select Properties from the File menu
  3. On the Properties page, look for the physical dimensions of the PDF. They will usually be in inches (24in x 36in, etc).
  4. Close the Properties window and select Print from the File menu in Adobe Acrobat
  5. In the Print window, select a page size that is at least as large as the PDF. This will ensure that the paper size is large enough to print the plan to scale.
  6. You can adjust your Printer Settings to accommodate paper size, quality and scale as needed. ** Printer Settings are specific to the user and your specific printer.

How to Print a Portion of a Plan to PDF

Sometimes it's useful to download a portion of a plan page to PDF.

  1. Scroll in to display the view that you would like to print.
  2. Click “Print” from the bottom of the toolbar on the right
  3. Click "Print Current View"
  4. Click the downloaded pdf that will appear in the lower left corner of the page. The pdf will also save to to your downloads file and be printable at that point.
  5. You can adjust your Printer Settings to accommodate paper size, quality and scale as needed. ** Printer Settings are specific to the user and your specific printer.
