New STACK and Construction Journal Partnership Is a Contractor’s Dream Team

Access to the latest jobs to bid plus quick and easy takeoffs means more profitable work for contractors

Contractors Shaking Hands

CINCINNATI, OH, MAY 5, 2020STACK Construction Technologies [STACK], the industry’s leading preconstruction software, today announced a new partnership with Construction Journal that will be a game changer for contractors.

Construction Journal, a preconstruction bid management program, allows contractors to view actionable project data in the early planning stages. The platform also includes access to project plans, which can be easily loaded into STACK where advanced takeoff and estimating tools can be leveraged to build bids and finalize proposals.

“Competition in the construction industry is fiercer than ever, and it’s tough to succeed if you’re not embracing the right tools,” said Phil Ogilby, Founder and CEO of STACK. “STACK’s partnership with Construction Journal allows contractors to utilize two of the top cloud-based industry platforms in tandem.”

“Construction Journal users have early access to projects for bid, and now by connecting them with STACK, they can submit more bids by cutting their preconstruction time in half or more,” said Rich Goldman, Founder and CEO of Construction Journal. “Our customers have been asking us for a takeoff and estimating solution, and we’re proud to offer them access to the best option out there.”

Goldman reported an increase in demand for access to bids, as contractors look to fill their pipelines in the current climate. While there have been some delays, he said, the number of new bids is still high, particularly in the public sector.

In addition, as public health guidelines require more estimators to work from home, the need for cloud-based preconstruction software has exploded. “Contractors need to be able to work from anywhere, at any time, especially today,” Ogilby added. “Old-fashioned desktop software just won’t cut it when teams are working remotely.”
