Company Story:

Watson & Cochran is an architectural millwork company based out of Dallas, Texas.  They provide high-end wood products including cabinets, paneling, office furniture, ceiling panels and more.  The majority of the company’s work is commercial millwork for offices, hotels, car dealerships and other businesses.

Founded in 1986, Watson & Cochran currently has a staff of 26 employees and is growing at a rate of 20% per year.  The company prides itself in doing the best job they can do every day, providing a good product with good service, and being honest with their customers, general contractors and even their own employees.

Overcoming Challenges:

Before using STACK, Watson & Cochran was printing out plans and plotting every project by hand that they wanted to bid.  This was costly and extremely time-consuming especially when new plan pages were added & drawings got updated. They knew something needed to change.

Aaron Cochran, Purchasing Agent & Estimator at Watson & Cochran, spent 4-5 months researching online takeoff programs and tried out 5 other software options including iSqFt and On-Screen Takeoff before eventually deciding to purchase STACK.  Aaron’s favorite aspect of STACK was how easy it was to use!

Prior to STACK, life at Watson & Cochran was cluttered, scrambled and unorganized.  Every nook and cranny of the office had piles of papers and blueprints spread out everywhere.  “Without STACK”, says Aaron, “we wouldn’t be as successful as we are today and our work environment would be a lot more cluttered.”
