The biggest challenge that Toscano Tile & Marble has faced is when they decided to move into the commercial market. They were very familiar with the retail side of the business and the process of simply going to someone’s house to discuss installation details in person. For the commercial side, Toscano needed to be more organized up front and deliver all the pertinent details to the architect ahead of time.
Retail was always the strongest category for Toscano Tile & Marble. To move into the commercial side of the business, they had to learn how to use new software (like STACK) and hire additional employees to deal with the commercial market.
How STACK Has Helped Toscano Tile & Marble:
“Prior to using STACK, the takeoff process was lengthy,” says David Betsy, Director of Sales and Operations, Toscano Tile & Marble. “I would have to use an outside printer to print the blueprints and then do the takeoffs by hand, make sure the scale was right plus several more time-consuming steps. Also, a lot of it wasn’t digital. Being able to organize the files digitally using STACK, helps me move around the project a lot quicker.”
David’s favorite part of STACK is the calendar. It allows him to see a full month’s view and to quickly access projects. When guys are out in the field doing installations and have questions, he can quickly look up the projects and give them the answers they need.
